Results of the 2002
Lake Tahoe Girls Summer Basketball Jamboree

The Thursday Night Free Throw contest was won by:

Brenda Jacobs of Galt

Colfax, Ca. beat Ferris, WA. 37-33 for the 2002 Lake Tahoe Girls Summer Jamboree Championship. They finished with a 6-0 record downing Southridge, OR in a barn burner 35-34, and Beaverton, OR 42-40 in overtime. Earlier they beat Vacaville 45-35, and Ceres 50-46, and Alhambra 43-30.

Ferris, WA, the runner up, beat Oakridge 37-33 in the semi finals, Grants Pass, OR 38-27, St. Patrick's 42-31, El Rancho 63-30 and Foothill 43-34.

Oakridge and South Ridge finished tied for 3rd with 4-1 records while Placer and Acalanes finished tied for 5th also with 4-1 records. Beaverton and Grants Pass finish with 3-2 records tied for 7th place in the consolation bracket.

In the consolation side of the two 8 team Blue brackets El Capitan and Broomfield, CO won their side and finished with a 4-1 record as well. Santa Ynez and Provo, UT finished with a 3-2 record. Winters finished out the Blue bracket with with 2-3 recorded and Beyer with a 1-4 record. St. Patrick's was 2-3 as was Vacaville.

The Red Brackets

The Red Bracket was made up of teams who came out of the 1-1 bracket and a few 0-2 teams,. Redmond, OR. and Ceres, CA each won their brackets over runner ups Sunset, OR and .Galt respectively. Winning the consolation side of the brackets were Oroville and Foothill of Redding. They beat out West Valley and North Salem, OR.

The Green Round Robin

made up of 0-2 teams was highlighted by Alhambra, Del Oro, and Calaveras who each went 3-0 after a 0-2 start in the seeding round robin.

Next years Jamboree will be Wednesday-Saturday, July 16-19, 2003
